USER EXPERIENCE DESIGN METHODOLOGY
In combination with my creative partner, David DeFranza, we developed a comprehensive and easy to use UX and creative evaluation framework that can be utilized to asses various creative contexts and their corresponding user journeys. Such experiences can include websites, products (digital and physical), print and marketing collateral, interior spaces, events, group and team dynamics, and more. The goals, scale, users, and context of these projects can all vary drastically, however this evaluation is designed to be adaptable enough to cover them all.
Initially, we were looking for a way to combine UX, creative, and analytic processes to help create website and app testing and content strategies to increase online conversion rates. After putting the framework to practice with website optimization however, it quickly became apparent how versatile and effective it is in a broader UX/creative sense.
Regardless of the context or elements, the challenge is always the same: to meet desired user needs as well as client business goals. The UX/creative methodology expedites the strategic evaluation and ideation process to combat these challenges, thus providing the opportunity to enable teams to more quickly and more accurately target appropriate audiences through clearer, more efficient, and more satisfying user experience and creative solutions. It is important to constantly evaluate and iterate to improve the product, goal, and experience!

WHAT IS THIS UX/CREATIVE EVALUATION?
• An expert heuristic analysis
• Low-cost and rapid
• Helps connect qualitative and quantitative data
• Adds context to data, data to creative
• Jumpstarts the strategic ideation process
"Heuristic evaluation involves having a small set of evaluators examine the interface and judge its compliance with recognized usability principles (the “heuristics”). – Jacob Nielsen
Heuristics: adjective
Encouraging a person to learn, discover, understand, or solve problems on his or her own, as by experimenting, evaluating possible answers or solutions, or by trial and error: a heuristic teaching method.
